What others say about HENRY

HENRY seeks independent evaluation and recognition of its services from experts in their field so that we know we are effective. We also ask what parents attending a HENRY session and practitioners attending HENRY training think of their experiences.

External recognition:

  • The King’s Fund awarded HENRY the GSK IMPACT Award in 2014 for outstanding contribution to community health
  • Our Healthy Families programme carries the CANparent Quality Mark which is only awarded to parenting programmes, courses and classes that meet the highest standards. In order to achieve the CANparent Quality Mark, organisations must demonstrate that they have met an extensive range of indicators across four quality elements – evidence base, organisational integrity, clear monitoring and evaluation, and that programmes are delivered via a skilled and trained workforce. The award of the quality mark means that HENRY: can be relied on by parents to make a positive difference; is evidence-based; is recommended by other parents and; is monitored and evaluated

  • All HENRY practitioner training is accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH). The rigorous accreditation process involved expert assessors from RSPH evaluating the effectiveness of HENRY training programmes, including the content, resources used, method of delivery and how well these meet strategic public health objectives. The RSPH reviewed HENRY training materials and made site visits to meet our trainers and trainees before making their assessment. In their assessment the RSPH remarked that “The RSPH team has been very impressed with the standard of the content and the model of this intervention. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate HENRY for such an initiative and its contribution to reducing health inequalities.”
