Helen is a registered public health nutritionist and dietitian with 35 years’ experience in human nutrition, research, policy development and teaching. She is currently director of the public health nutrition charity First Steps Nutrition Trust. Helen is the author of a wide body of nutritional guidelines and resources that support eating well in infancy and early years and advises policy makers nationally and globally on infant and young child nutrition issues.

Nick is a retired consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist and was a Trustee of HENRY from 2008 to 2016. During his 37 years in practice, he published numerous papers and gained many awards, in particular for this work on service redesign involving partnership working between primary and secondary care.

He received an OBE in 1998 for services to Teaching and Patient Care.

Throughout his career Professor Sir Alan Craft practised as a general paediatrician. Having also trained as a paediatric oncologist, he spent 25 years setting up and directing an oncology service for the north of England. He was a founding member of the United Kingdom Children’s Cancer Study Group (UKCCSG) and has also been involved with the International Paediatric Oncology Society as both Secretary General and President. Previously President of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, he received a knighthood from the Queen in 2004 for his services to medicine.
