1 quantity bolognese sauce
3 large potatoes (about 700g)
1 small tin (220g) reduced salt and sugar baked beans
A little milk and a knob of butter or unsaturated margarine for mashing the potatoes.

Cottage pie
Put the oven on to gas mark 4 (180°C/350°F) so it can heat up. Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks. Add to a saucepan of boiling water, cover with a lid and cook for 15-20 minutes until soft.

Add the baked beans to the bolognese sauce, and heat through. Drain the potatoes, and mash with a little milk and butter or unsaturated margarine.

Put the cooked minced beef into an ovenproof dish and cover evenly with the mashed potato. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes until the top is golden.
