Our friendly Early Infant Feeding team is here to provide FREE practical and emotional support during your pregnancy, helping you prepare for your baby's arrival and your feeding journey, no matter how you choose to feed your baby.
We offer a range of services to support you through this special time, including:
- Infant feeding helpline for phone and video support
- Antenatal workshops to prepare for feeding your baby
- The Preparation for Parenthood six-week programme to explore pregnancy, birth, and life with a newborn
- On-site feeding support at Whipps Cross Hospital

Preparation for Parenthood 6-week Programme
Would you like to explore pregnancy, birth, and life with a newborn in more depth?
Our FREE 6-week online antenatal programme provides a welcoming space to share ideas and questions with other local families.
Each week we’ll cover a different topic relating to family life including:
- Growth and development in the womb
- Birth and what to expect
- Feeding your baby and getting off to a great start
- Caring for yourself and your baby
- Life with a newborn
- Looking after yourself and your baby
- Building a loving bond with your baby
Participants receive a free HENRY toolkit filled with helpful resources to use at home.
When and Where:
Programmes start each half term and run on weekday evenings or on Saturday mornings.

Antenatal Workshop: Preparing to Feed My Baby
Join our FREE antenatal workshop, led by our Early Infant Feeding team, to explore how to get feeding off to a great start — whether you're planning to breastfeed, bottle-feed, or use a mix.
This 2-hour workshop is available weekly online or face-to-face.

Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Giving Birth at Whipps Cross Hospital?
If you’re delivering your baby at Whipps Cross Hospital, our team is on-site to support you.
Look out for us in the maternity wards Monday to Saturday, starting from September 2023.
