Poached pears

Let's make poached pears with yoghurt and honey

large pears - allow 1 pear per adult and 1/2 pear per child.

4 tbsp honey

360g Greek yoghurt

Poached pears

Peel the pears, remove the core and cut in quarters.

 

 

 

Pear 1

Place the pears in a saucepan adding enough water to cover the fruit and gently simmer, poaching the pears for about 15 minutes until soft.

Pear 2

Remove the poached pears and place in a serving bowl. Serve with the Greek yoghurt and drizzle with the honey.

  • For babies mash the pear
  • Honey should not be given to children under 1 year old

  • If you are spoon feeding your baby, let them hold a spoon so they can join in
